‍

1. Data Collection on this Website

Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. You can find their contact details in the "Information about the responsible party" section of this privacy policy.

‍

How do we collect your data?

Some of your data is collected when you provide it to us. This may include, for example, data you enter into a contact form.

Other data is collected automatically by our IT systems when you visit the website, or with your consent. This primarily includes technical data (e.g., internet browser, operating system, or time of page view). This data is collected automatically as soon as you access this website.

‍

What do we use your data for?

Some of the data is collected to ensure the error-free provision of the website. Other data may be used to analyze your user behavior.

‍

What rights do you have regarding your data?

You have the right at any time to receive information free of charge about the origin, recipient, and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have the right to request the correction or deletion of this data. If you have given consent to data processing, you can revoke this consent at any time for the future. Furthermore, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data under certain circumstances. 2. Hosting

Webflow

We host our website with Webflow. The provider is Webflow, Inc., 398 11th Street, 2nd Floor, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA (hereinafter Webflow). When you visit our website, Webflow collects various log files, including your IP addresses.

Webflow is a tool for creating and hosting websites. Webflow stores cookies or other recognition technologies that are necessary for displaying the page, providing certain website functions, and ensuring security (necessary cookies).

For details, please refer to Webflow's privacy policy: https://webflow.com/legal/eu-privacy-policy.

The use of Webflow is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in ensuring the most reliable presentation of our website possible. If corresponding consent has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and Section 25 para. 1 TTDSG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user's end device (e.g., device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time.

Data transfer to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Details can be found here: https://webflow.com/legal/eu-privacy-policy.

3. General Information and Mandatory Disclosures

Privacy

The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

When you use this website, various personal data are collected. Personal data are data with which you can be personally identified. This privacy policy explains what data we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose this occurs.

We would like to point out that data transmission over the internet (e.g., when communicating by email) may have security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data from third-party access is not possible.

‍

Storage period

Unless a more specific storage period has been mentioned within this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for data processing ceases to apply. If you assert a legitimate request for deletion or revoke consent to data processing, your data will be deleted, unless we have other legally permissible reasons for storing your personal data (e.g. retention periods under tax or commercial law); in the latter case, deletion will take place after these reasons cease to apply.

‍

General information on the legal bases for data processing on this website

If you have consented to data processing, we process your personal data on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR or Art. 9 (2) lit. a GDPR, provided that special categories of data are processed in accordance with Art. 9 (1) GDPR. In the event of explicit consent to the transfer of personal data to third countries, data processing also takes place on the basis of Art. 49 (1) lit. a GDPR. If you have consented to the storage of cookies or to access information on your end device (e.g. via device fingerprinting), data processing also takes place on the basis of Section 25 (1) TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time. If your data is required for the fulfillment of a contract or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures, we process your data on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR. Furthermore, we process your data, if this is necessary for the fulfillment of a legal obligation, on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. c GDPR. Data processing may also take place on the basis of our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. Information on the respective legal bases applicable in individual cases will be provided in the following sections of this privacy policy.

‍

Note on data transfer to the USA and other third countries

Among other things, we use tools from companies based in the USA or other third countries that are not secure under data protection law. If these tools are active, your personal data may be transferred to these third countries and processed there. We would like to point out that a level of data protection comparable to that in the EU cannot be guaranteed in these countries. For example, US companies are obliged to hand over personal data to security authorities without you, as the data subject, being able to take legal action against this. It cannot therefore be ruled out that US authorities (e.g. intelligence services) may process, evaluate and permanently store your data located on US servers for monitoring purposes. We have no influence over these processing activities.

‍

Revocation of your consent to data processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke any consent you have already given at any time. The legality of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

‍

Right to object to data collection in special cases and to direct marketing (Art. 21 GDPR)

IF DATA PROCESSING IS CARRIED OUT ON THE BASIS OF ART. 6 (1) LIT. E OR F GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA ON GROUNDS RELATING TO YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING BASED ON THESE PROVISIONS. THE RESPECTIVE LEGAL BASIS ON WHICH PROCESSING IS BASED CAN BE FOUND IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU OBJECT, WE WILL NO LONGER PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA CONCERNED, UNLESS WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING WHICH OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS, OR THE PROCESSING IS FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT, EXERCISE OR DEFENCE OF LEGAL CLAIMS (RIGHT TO OBJECT PURSUANT TO ART. 21 (1) GDPR).

IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA FOR SUCH MARKETING PURPOSES; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING TO THE EXTENT THAT IT IS RELATED TO SUCH DIRECT MARKETING. IF YOU OBJECT, YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL SUBSEQUENTLY NO LONGER BE USED FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES (RIGHT TO OBJECT PURSUANT TO ART. 21 (2) GDPR).

‍

Right to Lodge a Complaint with the Competent Supervisory Authority

In the event of violations of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, their place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement. The right to complain exists without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedies.

‍

Right to Data Portability

You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfillment of a contract handed over to yourself or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done insofar as it is technically feasible.

‍

Information, Erasure, and Rectification

Within the framework of applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to obtain free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of data processing, and, if applicable, a right to rectification or erasure of this data. For this purpose, as well as for further questions on the subject of personal data, you can contact us at any time.

‍

Right to Restriction of Processing

You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time for this purpose. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:

  • If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we usually need time to verify this. For the duration of the verification, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
  • If the processing of your personal data occurred/occurs unlawfully, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of its erasure.
  • If we no longer need your personal data, but you require it for the exercise, defense, or establishment of legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of its erasure.
  • If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21 (1) GDPR, a balancing of your interests and ours must be carried out. As long as it has not yet been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.

If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, this data – apart from its storage – may only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or a Member State.

‍

4. Data Collection on This Website

Inquiry by email, phone, or fax

If you contact us by email, phone, or fax, your inquiry, including all resulting personal data (name, inquiry), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We will not share this data without your consent.

The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, insofar as your inquiry is related to the fulfillment of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of inquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) if this was requested; consent can be revoked at any time.

The data you send to us via contact inquiries will remain with us until you request its deletion, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage ceases to apply (e.g., after your request has been fully processed). Mandatory legal provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.

‍

Cookies

When you visit this website, certain usage data (IP address, date and time of your visit, and information about your browser) is processed by cookies. Cookies are files that are transmitted to your device via your web browser. We only use cookies on our website to enable the technical functions of the website (Art. 6 para. 1 f GDPR). The legitimate interest lies in ensuring that this website is displayed correctly on your screen and that causes of malfunctions can be identified and remedied. You can set your web browser to notify you when cookies are set, or to generally reject cookies or restrict their setting. However, if you deactivate or restrict the setting of cookies using your browser, various functions on the website will no longer be available to you. Cookies are automatically deleted after closing the web browser.

‍

Transmission to Third Parties

The aforementioned data is partially transmitted to a processor for the hosting and maintenance of our website. Processors only process data according to our instructions and not for their own purposes.

‍

Your Rights

Pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR, you can request information on whether and which data we process about you. You can request the rectification and, under certain circumstances, the completion of your data pursuant to Art. 16 GDPR. You have the right to have us erase your data pursuant to Art. 17 GDPR or restrict its processing pursuant to Art. 18 GDPR. Pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR, you have the right to receive your data that you have provided to us based on consent or a contract, provided that the processing is carried out by automated means. If you wish and it is technically feasible, we will transmit this data to a third party. Your rights may be restricted or excluded by law under certain conditions. Insofar as we process data solely for the protection of our legitimate interests based on Art. 6 para. 1 f) GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your data on grounds relating to your particular situation. If you object, we will no longer process the data concerned, unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. You have the right to lodge data protection complaints with a supervisory authority, in particular with the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Gustav-Stresemann-Ring 1, 65189 Wiesbaden.
